Crown of Color:
The Art of Colorful Dining
Join us at 84 Yesler for an evening celebrating Crown of Color, a vivid new collection by Pacific Northwest artist Ruby Barmes.
Inspired by the expressive movement of Van Gogh and Monet, and the elegance of Alphonse Mucha’s feminine forms, Ruby’s work transforms emotion into bold color and flowing brushwork. Growing up surrounded by the gray skies and misty shorelines of the Pacific Northwest, she learned to seek brightness through the muted landscape, a theme reflected throughout this collection.
To complement the exhibition, Chef Christina and the 84 Yesler team will feature vibrant, colorful seasonal offerings inspired by the spirit of Ruby’s work, bright flavors, artistic presentation, and a shared celebration of color and movement.
About the Artist
Ruby Barmes is a local Pacific Northwest artist whose work explores femininity, motion, and emotion through vivid hues and expressive texture. Her paintings blend impressionist influence with ornamental beauty, creating pieces that feel both energetic and intimate.
